A planned unit development in the Camdenton area is seeing some opposition from local residents. About 30 people recently voiced their concerns at a meeting of the Camden County Commission over a proposed amendment to the Lakeside at Cross Creek. Most of the opposition is coming from the adjacent cross creek subdivision. The project’s developer is asking the Camden County Commission to approve his request to re-plat seven residential lots into 33 accessory use lots on over ten acres in order to build steel buildings that the public could purchase to store such things as cars, motorcycles and boats. The request would increase the number of overall units from what was originally approved. The commission has tabled the issue until May 21st.
