The Deputy who’s heart stopped while acting on a search warrant at a drug house in Miller County is still recovering but is back home and out of the hospital. Earlier this year, officer Tom McClelland from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office was among other team members during a raid when he fell to the ground and stopped breathing. Officers performed CPR and eventually McClelland was transported to a hospital in Springfield where he slowly recovered. While doctor’s are unsure why his heart stopped, Miller County Sheriff Bill Abbott is happy he’s home
A golf tournament to benefit the deputy happened this Friday at the Redfield golf course in Eugene and anyone who is interested in donating to the benefit, but isn’t interested in participating in the tournament, can do so by contacting the Eldon V.F.W post or the Miller County Sheriff’s Office.
