A single car crash early this morning on the Grand Glaize Bridge ended with the vehicle in the water. Upon arrival Osage Beach officers found that a vehicle had collided with the guard rail, jumped the guard rail and traveled down the hill. At some point the vehicle, a white Suzuki SUV, rolled, landing in the water. Officers discovered the occupant, a 23 year old Springfield resident, laying unresponsive along the bank of Lake of the Ozarks at the 1mm of the Grand Glaize arm across from the Formula One Boats of Missouri Marina. The vehicle was mostly submerged with the exception of the rear of the vehicle. The victim was taken to Lake Regional Hospital where he was immediately flown to the University of Missouri. His status is unknown at this time. Sergeant Arlyne Page explained what is happening on the bridge now and asked for driver’s patience.
