In Camden County the Republican ticket saw a change for County Commissioner. With 24 precincts reporting, Greg Hasty beat out incumbent Kris Frankin 4,421 to 3,105 and he will go forward to the November election. Other contested positions include prosecuting attorney for the Republican Party where Michael Gilley beat out Brian Keedy and Cole Bradbury with 49% of the vote. In the Jasper Township, Nancy Osborne beat Craig Susan Halloran with 70% of the votes. In Miller County on the Republican ticket for Prosecuting Attorney, Benjamin Winfrey defeated Matt Howard garnering 63% of the total vote. For Associate Circuit Judge, Jon Kaltenbronn defeated Jay Harms 2,658 to 1,542 votes. For County Clerk on the Republican ticket, Clinton Jenkins defeated Caleb Rowden receiving nearly 57 percent of the vote, while Phil Lawson defeated Randy Russell in the race for County Treasurer on the Republican ticket receiving 74 percent of the vote. In Morgan County On the Republican ticket for Associate Circuit Judge, Kevin Schehr narrowly defeated Jeffrey Green 1,787 to 1,655 votes. Also on the Republican ticket for Circuit Clerk, Lori Moon defeated Nancy Bemboom and Monica Cable receiving 1, 586 votes while in the race for County Treasurer on the Republican ticket, Kimberly Ingersoll defeated Louella Pryor and Steven Trotter receiving 1,684 votes. In Benton County, with 8 out of 8 precincts reporting for Presiding Commissioner Michelle McLerran Morgan has beaten Tom Self with 1772 votes to 1639 votes. For Circuit Clerk Cheryl Lutjen-Schults beat Brenda Coffman 2240 votes to 1004 votes. And for Precinct Committeeman, Mark Nolte beat Frank Ordonio with 78% of the votes. In Laclede County, with all precincts reporting in the race for Presiding Commissioner Danny Rhoades beats John Carr 3,780 votes to 2,546 votes. For Recorder of Deeds, Lynn Stowe beats Rebecca Hamilton 3,656 to 2,599 and for Washington Commission Robert Smith the third beats out Wesley Powell and a write in candidate with 66% of the vote. Also the County did vote to have a County Attorney with 69% in favor but they said no to the Lebanon Rural Fire Proposition and the Stoutland R-2 school levy. Blaine Leutkemeyer was the winner in a Four candidate Republican primary for U.S. Representative District 3 while Courtney Denton was the winner on the Democrat side. Vicky Hartzler advanced to the general election in November Defeating John Webb on the republican ticket for the U.S. representative district 4 seat receiving 75% of the vote. Dan Brown was the winner on the Republican ticket for State Senate district 16 defeating Bernie Mowinski receiving 86% of the vote.
