I would like to nomiate my family for the Christmas givaway because we have had a horrific year. We lost my step-dad and mother within a month of each other and that was after a long while with them suffering the effects of cancer. They will be greatly missed but my family has stood strong and will live with the best of the best living inside of us and know that we have been taught good values. My family means the world to me and without them would be no life at all.

  6. Tanya Preece says:

I am a housekeeper for Keys to the Lake. I have been with them for 6 months now, and they are like family to me. They have done wonderful things to help me achieve my personal and professional goals like getting back into college and finding a place to live just to name a few. I would love to be able to win this giveaway so that I can give back just a bit as to what they have given to me. It would mean a lot to be able to make the holidays a memorable one. Thanks Tanya

  7. M.J. Arnold says:

There are many deserving requests being submitted for the Holiday Party at Old Kinderhook. I would like to send my request on behalf of my co-workers in the business office, of whom each is totally deserving of this lovely gift of celebration. Our work is very rewarding personally but not monitarily, so this would be a wonderful gesture of appreciation of their work and dedication to serve others. Also, in our field of work, there are no funds available this year for a holiday party. Thank you and may everyone at 1150 KRMS have a joyous holiday season.

  8. Melody says:

We have a great group that works together like Santa’s elves all year round. We work in the main office which is the “go to’ place for all but we are still more behind the scenes in the everyday operations. We know we are appreciated but could you “show us the money” with a party to encourage a great group of people who love what we do each day? Besides getting to work together each day, I would love to see my co-workers treated to a great party that would include delicious food and wonderful surroundings. Oh yeah, if we win the party, it would be a great excuse to get a new outfit to benefit the occasion for a few of us!

  9. Sharon Simmonds says:

I work for a non-profit company which exists to help others (New Tribes Mission). My job is with a group of others in the business offices. We love our jobs and being a part of this work! We do not spend company money on parties or on special events for ourselves, but would love to have a Christmas party. A party like this would be totally amazing and out of the ordinary for us! Please consider us for this party!

  10. Due to the hardships of our fellow Americans trying to get by in this “recession” our year has been stressful. With the economic downturn everyone is struggling. This election year has been a very busy one with no time to catch our breath. We would love to have a party to celebrate getting through this year & also be able to give our fellow co-worker a great retirement party for her years of service. This would be a great time to celebrate the season, a co-workers retirement, & just surviving another stressful year.

  11. A Christmas Party just for Us
Who can believe it–what’s the fuss!

The fuss is about a super meal; a fantastic time out
with those we feel the closest to—our office crew!

Those folks who give their hearts all year to help others
without a tear or note of frustration in their voice

We think we’d be the perfect choice!

  12. Sandra K. Hagen says:

Hmm…….let’s see if we can come up with my top 10 personal reasons for the seasonal party!

    1. Our group of office people work for an organization which serves others-locally and around the world
    2. Our mentality it that it would be wasteful of those who support us to have an extravagent party
    3. We’re a faith based ministry-so, no extras for parties-big or small.
    5. We don’t drink alcohol-so think of the meal we could enjoy!
    6. We don’t smoke, so won’t ruin the atmosphere
    7. We do like to have fun and enjoy being treated special.
    8. Whatever we do, we’ll have to do between ourselves, so think of the enjoyment of having a party provided with all the trimmings and accessories.
    9. I’m going to try and host a party for 17 in a 1200 sq. ft. home- and I don’t want to CLEAN or COOK.
    10. I can think of no better Christmas gift to my co-workers than an all expense paid party and they don’t have to do a thing!

  13. Tony Lause says:

I would like to submit my request for a Christmas party for the voulunteers that work at the Habitat for Humainty Resale store just south of Camdenton. Everyone that works at the Resale store do so as volunteers and no payments are recieved. It would be great if we could celebrate the Christmas season with a party. We have so many great voulunteers that dedicate several hours a week. Thank you for your consideration.

  14. Kim says:

I am sending this email to try to win the christmas party for my job. I work with about twelve girls at Fantastic Sam’s. Last year we had to have our own christmas party because our owners wouldn’t help out with it. So we just had a small one in the shop. All we could afforrd as a group was a present and take out. It would just be so nice for one day out of the year we could get waited on instead of us waiting on everyone else. Which we don’t mind waiting on other people it is just nice to nice to take a day off. Our shop has been through alot these last years. WIth the car coming through our building and the new road, But we haven’t got hit as bad as other places in the lake with the new road, but we can tell a difference on how slow we have gotten. So all I am asking is that you would consider us for the christmas party so we can have one as a family. When I say family I mean all the girls I work with I consider them all family beacause they are always there for you when you need them.

Thank you for your time and considering us,
    God Bless Kim

  16. Karon Herbst says:

The volunteers at the Camden County Senior Center would greatly enjoy a celebration of the season. They give so much during the year to make the lives of the older citizens of Camden county better. They provide countless services which make it possible for the center to enrich the lives of the older citizens of our county.

    Merry Christmas!!

  17. Annette & Robin says:

This Christmas Party offered by the very generous KRMS would be a very much needed break for our office staff! We’ve gone through a lot of changes… i.e. ownership and management, to name just a few. We’ve been through the wringer this past year, physically and emotionally, and this party would be a great way for us to decompress, have a wonderful time with our spouses, bond with our new staff and surroundings, and recharge for the upcoming tax season.

    Thank you for considering us!

  18. Myrna Hill says:

I would love to have a Christmas party for the local O’reilly Auto Parts staff. I’ve been with the company for many years and still we have never really had a real party.

The last Christmas party we had, we didn’t find out untill we were done eating that we would have to pay for our own meals. Good thing I brought my grocery shopping money with me, because Denny’s Restaurant doesn’t take checks.

  19. Judy Morris says:

I’m suggesting a Christmas Party for the Camdenton Senior Center Board of Directors and volunteers.
This would be an awesome surprise gift!

  20. Lakeside Office Supply says:

It’ s getting closer and closer to Christmas Party time. Now what can we do this year?
Lakeside Office Supply, the lakes Oldest Office Supply at the lake would love to have a
fabulous Party for our employees. Like many others we struggle with the economy and
partying is just not in the budget. For several years our Christmas party has been a do it
ourselves model. The place is the owners home and the employees help with bring some
    food.
We love our employees and it would be great to have a fun evening where we all could
just relax and enjoy each other. Old Kinderhook would be a wonderful place great FOOD
and beautiful view. No worrying about getting the house ready, no worrying about what
to fix ( is there going to be enough), and no hassle.
KRMS please Let Us have a Christmas Party

    Thanks

  21. Janet Louk says:

I was anxious to share my story after hearing the announcement on this
contest this afternoon. I even facebooked the station and went to the
website but had to call the rockline to ask for an e-mail address.Yet had to
put it off due to family coming first. It was parent teacher conferances
tonight and my fiances sister and her son had fixed a fine meal of
salmon, rice, hominy and toasted bread while we were away.
So it was priority to see that Melissa spent more time focusing on family
and schoolwork. It was priority to appreciate the effort Karen and Shane had
    gone to for dinner.

So here it goes: Thomas Haggerty and Janet Louk began dating in April of
2009.Our initial plan was to marry on July 3rd,2010. A time when the family
would be together in celebration. But we didn’t have enough time to prepare
for the reaction we got in annnouncing our engagement to setting a date. All
the family and friends wanted to be invited and part of the wedding
party!Others felt we were rushing things a bit too fast.

Perplexed by the fact we couldn’t afford a big ceremony we moved it back and
tried to save up for it.Trials have happened which only made us realize how
much we want to be together the rest of our lives. So we finally set another
date. Only this time in a way we could afford and honor the wishes of all.
Besides it gave more meaning to our marriage.

For 10/15/2010 & 10/16/2010 we spent what we called our early honeymoon at
the Trophy Room, first enjoying dinner entertainment of Justin Bowling with
soup and salad. Then Saturday came back for the Prime Rib special. We also
went to Jacobs Cave in Versailles. Then ended our early honeymoon returning
to Lebanon,Mo to see Rocktober fest at Harley Davidson and watch my best
friends boys band As “Shadows Collapse”.Then we went home.

The reason for taking an early honeymoon was because we are getting married
on Christmas Eve in our home & having a Christmas buffet style dinner for a
reception. Our gift to Jesus for his birthday.Rather then run away for a
honeymoon, we want to be with family and friends on Christmas. So since we
already had our honeymoon which was fabulous, we have Christmas Day open to
spend with family and friends! It would be an honor to share Old Kinderhook
Trophy Room with all of them.

Thanks for taking us into consideration
    Janet Louk
