We now know more about the large fire that took place Sunday just south of Camdenton in Camden and Laclede counties. Several fire departments came to assist in the large blaze that according to Fire chief Scott Frandsen of the Mid-County Fire Protection district was set intentionally

Frandsen explains the methods they used in order to keep the homes in the fire’s path safe

The rough and rugged terrain made it difficult for fire fighters. Frandsen says the departments wound up walking several miles using Bulldozers, Fire Trucks and every ounce of manpower available to stop the blaze before it destroyed any homes. The case has now been handed over to the Camden County Sheriff’s department for further investigations.
