Residents in an Ozarks town are furious after their local creek starts to smell and fish start to die. Residents living near Clea creek now know why fish were coming up dead. A representative from the Missouri Department of Conservation working with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources tested the water and determined that a chemical “Aliment” released by the Tyson company into the local sewer system was the cause. The aftermath caused Ammonia in the creek which is why the fish ended up dead. Currently officials are trying to count up the number of dead fish and look at options on how to keep this from occurring in all area waterways while officials with the sewer district are working to make sure an issue like this never happens again.
