Governor Nixon expected to sign bill for out of pock limits with chemotherapy pills

nixonMissouri cancer patients could soon find it more affordable to take chemotherapy pills.  Governor Jay Nixon is expected to sign legislation Wednesday that would limit the amount of money patients could be charged for oral chemotherapy.  Starting in January, the bill would impose an out-of-pocket limit of $75 for a thirty day supply.  Many patients are currently charged thousands of dollars a year for oral chemotherapy which often has fewer side effects than intravenous therapy.
