Gravois Fire Says Goodbye To Firefighters And Yes To School’s Tax levy

gravois fire logoMany things were discussed during the Gravois fire protection district meeting on Monday. Gravois firefighter’s association president Jim Hynick asked for the district’s perspective on the upcoming Morgan County R-2 school district tax levy issue on the upcoming April ballot. Chief Ed Hancock said the district feels this is an important issue to the community, and there is a need for a storm shelter in the Morgan county school. The board also accepted letters of resignation from firefighters Jack Haggard and Neil Fredrick. Both firefighters recently accepted a position with the sunrise beach fire protection district. A letter was also read thank district firefighters for attending the funeral of fallen Columbia Firefighter lt. Bruce Britt
