Traffic is moving faster across the Hurricane Deck Bridge. The 45 mph work zone speed limit signs have been removed off Highway 5 at the new bridge, and the former 55 mph speed limit has been restored for the bridge crossing and on both sides approaching the bridge, according to MODOT Area Engineer Bob Lynch. The next construction phase will begin next week, depending on weather conditions, with the building of a new ramp on the north end of the bridge. According to Lynch no traffic delays are expected with the new construction. There will however continue to be traffic control on the Lake, with directional buoys in the water that guide boats to a certain location for crossing the bridge area.
