HWP Sobriety Checkpoints At The Lake

Missouri-State-Highway-PatrolThe Highway Patrol’s Troop “F” is looking to reduce the number of highway fatalities through a special campaign that is being held this month in Camden County. According to Sergeant Paul Reinsch the patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint and/or saturation as part of “the drive to zero highway deaths” campaign. The patrol will be partnering with area law enforcement agencies to conduct the operation which aims to reduce fatalities by combating impaired driving and also promoting the wearing of seatbelts and the proper use of car seats. In 2013, there were 757 fatalities on Missouri highways and 438 so far this year.
