A 48 year old Mexican national who was arrested in Morgan County last year on drug charges has been sentenced to ten years in prison. Maria Teresa Marrufo was arrested in August for delivery of methamphetamine after police found 224 grams of pure Meth in her possession. Marrufo was a fugitive for 12 years after being previously convicted for drug trafficking. She was deported in 2012 but soon returned to the U.S. and resumed her illegal drug activities. Marrufo was sentenced to federal prison yesterday after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and to illegally re-entering the country.
