The sign that welcomes travelers to the Lake of the Ozarks is shining orange this week in observance of National Work Zone Awareness week.  MODOT Area Engineer Bob Lynch says this is a good time to remind motorists to watch for road crews and drive safely.

The theme for this year’s work zone awareness week is “Move Over for Work Zones.  Don’t Zone Out.”  Part of the focus is to highlight that MODOT vehicles are now included in the “move over” law which protects law enforcement and emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road.
