A new lawsuit has emerged against a local company. According to court documents, Theresa may, a resident of the Lake Area, has filed a lawsuit against Summit Natural Gas from a gas line installation that occurred on her property in spring 2013. According to the complaint filed, she claims that contractors working for Summit did not replace timbers and other system she had installed to prevent erosion issues which lead to mud and debris flooding her basement causing nearly $30,000 in damages. Recently there have been other complaints from residents and city officials of contractors digging up yards and roadways without permission and as we reported to you last year, several water mains had been struck through the Laurie area and sewer lines in the Gravois arms sewer district. A contractor working for summit natural gas told KRMS news in 2013 that quote “It is difficult for us to properly install these lines in some areas where blueprints of water, sewer and electric lines do not exist.”
