Local Law Enforcement Gets Antidote Treat Overdoses

Law Enforcement and Emergency Medical Personnel at the Lake of the Ozarks may soon have an extra tool at their disposal in combating drug overdoses.  Legislation was recently passed without dissent at the State Capitol which would allow trained responders to use naloxone to treat people who overdose on narcotics such as heroin and prescription painkillers.  The measure is now on Governor Jay Nixon’s desk for his consideration.
