Work could soon begin to replace a low water crossing at Sequoia road near Iberia.  Miller county officials will soon start receiving bids for the project that is largely being funded by the Missouri Department of Conservation in an effort to improve the habitat for a federally threatened fish known as the Niangua Darter.  The new low water bridge is expected to have a two foot opening underneath for easier water flow.  The MDC will fund 80 percent of the project which must be completed by December.
