A lake resident thought he could get away but found it wasn’t meant to be. On Wednesday night a call came into the police department from an area Wal-Mart as an employee witnessed a man cut the security line on a television set. The man bolted through the store into the parking lot when the alarm went off. He managed to get to his car and attempt to get away until Sheriff’s Deputies found him and pulled him over. Earlier in the week we spoke to Sergeant Arlyne Page from the Osage Beach police department on what residents can do to help when they see this type of activity occurring at your local stores:

Page says it’s best not to get involved by trying to stop the individual yourself. The man was eventually tasered and arrested following a dispute during the arrest.
