The Chancellor of the University of Missouri in Columbia is planning to visit the Lake of the Ozarks to share information regarding the role of the University Extensions in our community. According to staffers, Chancellor R. Bowen Loftin will tour the Osage Beach Fish Hatchery before heading to the Hickory County Senior Center in Wheatland for a presentation to the community. Loftin wants to see what the extension can do better for the communities of the Lake of the Ozarks and the surrounding lakes including Truman and Pomme De Terre. Loftin was the former president of Texas A & M before becoming Chancellor at Mizzou this February. Both events will take place in the morning hours this Thursday.
