The Chancellor for the University of Missouri visited the Lake Area Thursday to learn more about the ways the University’s Extension offices help the community. Chancellor Bowen Loftin toured the Osage Beach Fish Hatchery, a local business that works hand and hand with our area extension office and believes there could be room to expand more services
Loftin was impressed with the fact that they’ve remained locally owned after all this time
Loftin was learning about the University’s Extension offices and how to help them better serve the Lake community. He says there is always room to grow and he expects to take the information he’s learned here, as well as the other stops in the tour, back to Columbia. Chancellor Loftin is new to the school after moving from Texas A&M to Mizzou this past February.
