It was standing-room-only during this week’s special meeting of the Osage Beach Board of Alderman. Rumors had been circulating that the city might reduce employee benefits and cut a dispatcher position in the communications department. However, it was reported that the city is not cutting a dispatcher. During the 90-minute meeting, the city did review employee benefits and other budget issues and discussed recommendations that could impact employee benefits including insurance, retirement and disability pay. A proposed flex time policy and changes to holiday pay were also discussed. The Osage Beach Board of Alderman will be meeting again tonight at 6:30 for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting.
