Niangua Bridge Closed Due To Accident

break news alertThe Camden County Sheriff’s office is reporting the Niangua bridge on north highway 5 will be closed for several hours due to a fatal, multiple vehicle accident. Sheriff’s Deputies, the Highway Patrol and Mid-County Fire are on the scene. The Missouri Department Of Transportation is reporting both lanes are blocked and motorists traveling southbound on Route 5 should take Route 7 to Route “J” to Route 54. Motorists driving northbound on Route 5 should detour around the closure via Route 54 to Route “J” to Route 7. Tractor trailer trucks should also avoid the area. Southbound trucks should detour to Route 5 to Route 52 thru Eldon to Route 54. Northbound trucks should detour via Route 54 to Route 52 thru Eldon to Route 5.
