Two new faces will be representing Ward II and Ward III in the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen for the next two years as Phyllis Marose and Tom Walker were sworn in by City Clerk Diann Warner at this week’s board meeting along with incumbent members Mayor Penny Lyons and Ward I Alderman Kevin Rucker. The first decision by the new board was to dedicate funds to marketing and advertising the Lake of the Ozarks. The board committed $2,000 to potential marketing campaigns for the lake area presented by Tri County Lodging Association Administrator Jim Divincen. He is applying for a grant from the Division of Tourism which requires matching funds. So Divincen has offered 285 8-second spots per day on a billboard campaign in Kansas City that will promote the Lake of the Ozarks in exchange for the financial partnership.
