Warmer weather is on the way and so is the start of one of the most anticipated fishing seasons at the lake. Starting this Saturday anglers will lineup across lake of the Ozarks, Truman lake and the Osage River to take part in Paddlefish season. The host of the fishing the Ozarks program on KRMS, Bill Cassidy, says you can fish it like fishing bass but it’s not easy

Cassidy says the best case scenario would be if Ameren increased their generation at Bagnell or Truman dam

Cassidy says you can catch them by the dam but the fun time is out on the lake in a boat

Anglers are only allowed to catch a daily limit of 2 Paddlefish, also known as Spoonville, Per day and cannot take the caviar eggs outside of the state of Missouri. The Paddlefish season runs until april 30th of this year. A full interview with Cassidy about fishing the Paddlefish will air Thursday at 4:15 during the Ozarks Today.
