Efforts to promote businesses on the west end of the Grand Glaize bridge will get underway this fall. Organizers hope that more than 200 businesses will participate in what’s being called “Passport to the parkway” in order to help jump start the area’s economy. The event will include discounts and specials from participating businesses in order to attract people back to the west end. Shoppers will be given coupons and a passport that can be stamped in order to qualify for entry into a drawing for several prizes. The planned event comes on the heels of recent meetings by the Citizens Advisory Committee. Passport to the Parkway is scheduled for October 1st thru the 8th.
