Phone scammers are now using local stores to target their victims. According to the Lebanon Police Department, an employee from the Walgreen’s in Lebanon reported that she received a phone call from a man claiming to be from the corporate office yesterday. The man told the employee she needed to remove prepaid debit cards from the shelves. The scammer got away with $500 before the employees realize it was a phone scam. If you receive a call from a number that you did not contact it is best to not answer, and you should never give out personal information.
