One of the options for phase two of the Sunrise Beach sewer project is now off the table. In a closed meeting this week, the Board of Trustees voted not to purchase a sewer plant in the route TT area due to legal issues surrounding it. However, the Board has been exploring other ideas. Four options have been submitted in a preliminary engineering report that would all cost around $4 million dollars and would extend service along the highway 5 corridor in both the central and northern sections of the community. As the board continues to work toward finalizing the plans for phase two, the deadline for phase one is quickly approaching and is now less than a month away.
