Three individuals who had been arrested in an all out manhunt were charged Tuesday in Pulaski County Court. According to Sheriff Ron Long, the 3rd person wanted in connection with the robbery and injury to an 82 year old man from Swedeborg was picked up Tuesday morning. Pulaski County deputies tracked the person of interest, Vernon Dale Parker, into the Fulton area and apprehended him. He had already been charged with burglary and theft in Osage Beach as well as two other locations inside Miller County. Also arrested was 24 year old Jessica Berry of Dixon, 35 year old Thomas York of Dixon and 57 year old Roby Sapere of Richland. In the probable cause statement from the Sheriff’s office, deputies heard the victim screaming for help when they arrived. They found him lying on the floor, bound with his hands to his feet with duct tape and half naked. He had been severely beaten where his eyes where swollen shut. There were five other individuals who also were picked up during the manhunt and they will receive separate charges. The elderly man is still in critical condition at this time.
