This Fall a new standard will be set for the ACT test

test

This fall students in Missouri seeking higher education will have a new set of Math and Language Arts measures on the ACT exam. Missouri House Bill 1042 will make test measures consistent across the state. Schools will have new cut scores in the Math and English sections of the ACT. The new English cut score will now be 18 and the Math cut score will be 22. This mean a student with a 22 or higher in Math can move right in to college level courses but a student with a 21 or lower will need to take additional testing to determine whether or not the student is ready for college level Math. The former cut off point in Math was a score of 20.
