The plan to replat over ten acres of property in the Camdenton area in order to build 33 toy barns has been scrapped. The steel buildings would’ve been available for sale to the public for the purpose of storing such things as cars, motorcycles and boats. At the April meeting of the Camden County Planning Commission around 40 homeowners protested the proposed amendment to the Lakeside at Cross Creek. The developer has now indicated he will be resubmitting an alternate proposal to replat and build 15 to 18 single family residences instead. The Planning Commission has tabled the request until June 18th at which time a public hearing on the issue will be held.
