Lake area residents will have a lot to think about when they go the polls later this year. Not only will there be a number of local races to decide in November but also several issues will be on the ballot regarding farms, guns, lottery tickets and taxes to name just a few. During the session that ended last week, state lawmakers voted to place six measures on the ballot for voters to decide. Two additional measures were referred during the 2013 session. This will be the largest number of ballot measures put before Missouri voters since 1998.
