Water Patrol Presence Increases At The lake

Mo-State-Highway-Patrol_Colored_over-transp_3WBoating enthusiasts may have recently noticed a stronger presence at the Lake of the Ozarks from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Water Division. Operation “dry water” took place this past weekend at the local, state and national level. Troopers arrested eight people statewide for boating while intoxicated and issued 72 boating violation summonses and 390 warnings. The highway patrol says special enforcement operations will continue over the 4th of July weekend and throughout the remainder of the summer. This is the campaign’s sixth year which seeks to reduce impaired vessel operation by highlighting enforcement efforts.
