A 30 year old Colorado man died after drowning over the fourth of July weekend in Anderson Cove, also known as Party Cove at the four mile marker of the Grand Glaize arm. Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Water division started searching for 30 year old Justin Byrd of Englewood Colorado Friday. Police say Byrd fell off the back of the boat he was on and was underwater for five minutes before anyone realized he fell in. Sources say several troopers were surrounding Party Cove Friday night to help with crowd control and to widen the search due to a large number of people in the cove. his body was found Friday night around eight o’clock. Byrd’s next of kin have been notified. This is Troop F’s third drowning for the year.
