10 Offenders in Morgan County Sentenced to DOC, Treatment Programs

Ten Offenders Sentenced to the Missouri Department of Corrections

Dustin G. Dunklee, Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney, announces that in Morgan County Circuit Court action in February of 2020 Ten offenders were sentenced to terms of imprisonment in the Department of Corrections. The ten are:

  1. Eric D. Carlson – Sentenced to 3 years in DOC for the class D felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and 3 years consecutive in DOC for the class D felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Carlson’s probation for the class C felony of Assault 2nd Degree was also revoked and he was sentenced to a concurrent 7 years in DOC.
  2. Mark B. Gremminger – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for the class C felony of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, 7 years in DOC for the class D felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) and 7 years in DOC for the class D felony of Endangering the Welfare of a Child (four counts).
  3. Leroy E. Roach – Sentenced to Court Ordered Detention Sanctions (CODS) in DOC for the class D felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance. CODS is a 120 day DOC incarceration that allows a defendant the opportunity to keep their Suspended Imposition of Sentence probation while serving either shock or drug treatment in DOC.
  4. Amber L. Comstock – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance under RSMo 559.115, with preference for Shock Incarceration in DOC.
  5. Kendra L. Riggs – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Persistent Drug Offender and 7 years in DOC for the class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance (she was on probation for this matter when she was arrested on a new drug possession charge).
  6. Laura M. Smith – Sentenced to 5 years in DOC for the class D felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 5 years in DOC for the class C felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance, 5 years in DOC for the class C felony of Forgery and 5 years in DOC for the class C felony of Possession of a Forging Instrument.
  7. Angela D. Snapp – Sentenced to 8 years in DOC for the class D felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance and a concurrent 7 years in DOC for the class D felony of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm under RSMo 559.115, with preference for the Institutional Treatment program in DOC.
  8. Mason R. Cary – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the class B felony of Burglary 1st Degree under RSMo 559.115, with preference for the Institutional Treatment program in DOC.
  9. Eddie D. Campbell, III – Sentenced to 4 years in DOC for the class C felony of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and a concurrent 4 years in DOC for the class D felony of Resisting Arrest.
  10. Brad L. Smith – Sentenced to 10 years in DOC for the Class D Felony of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Prior and Persistent Felony Offender) under RSMo 559.115, with preference for the Institutional Treatment program in DOC.

These cases were prosecuted by Prosecuting Attorney Dustin G. Dunklee and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Douglas Kinde & Derik Kinde, through the efforts of Mr. Dunklee’s staff members and the professional investigations of all law enforcement agencies involved.
