As this year’s version of the General Assembly in Missouri nears the halfway point, the proceedings would appear to be pretty routine…so far. Lake Area Representative Diane Franklin, from the 123rd district, says a majority of the effort currently is being spent in committee.
Representative Franklin says the focus of the session will shift after the break, near the end of March, to the issues being debated. Franklin, herself, has her name attached as the sponsor or as a co-sponsor to 13 different bills have been introduced so far this year. Barring the need for a special session being called, the General Assembly is scheduled to come to an end on May 18th.
