The Humane Society of Missouri is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever was responsible for shooting two cats in the neck with arrows. Mike Perkins, director of the Humane Society’s animal cruelty task force, says the injured animals were found in Versailles:
Perkins says the Humane Society is committed to vigorously pursuing the case and will recommend prosecution to the fullest extent of the law:
Anyone with information should contact the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, at 573-378-5481. Perkins says the cats, named Patches and Licorice, are expected to recover, though one may lose a leg because of his injuries.
The Humane Society is accepting donations toward Patches and Licorice’s care.
