The 2022 Graduate Class of the Missouri Highway Patrol has been announced and there’s a few local residents joining the ranks.
According to the Patrol, Gregory Stineman of Cole Camp and William Henderson of Edwards will be working with Troop A out of Cass County.
Also, Tyler Reinke of Lincoln will join Troop E in Dunklin County.
Additionally, 2 new Troopers are joining Troop F to serve Camden in Miller Counties, including Matthew Guinnip of Hallsville and Matthew Easton of Hannibal.
The ceremony will take place at 10AM on January 12th in Jefferson City.
The new troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on Monday, January 31st.
EMPHASIS: 25 New Troopers To Graduate From Missouri State Highway Patrol Law Enforcement Academy
Colonel Eric T. Olson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces that 25 troopers will graduate from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. The ceremony will take place in the Academy gymnasium, 1510 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, MO, and the public is invited. The graduation ceremony will be live streamed on the Patrol’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/motrooper. The graduation ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. The 112th Recruit Class reported to the Academy on August 2, 2021, to begin the 25-week training to become a trooper. The new troopers will report to duty in their assigned troops on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Governor Michael L. Parson will provide the keynote address and Col. Olson will also speak to the class during the graduation. The Honorable Patricia Breckenridge, Supreme Court of Missouri, will administer the Oath of Office to the new troopers. Provost Roger K. McMillian, vice president of College Affairs for Mineral Area College, will confer an associate of applied science degree to eight of the new troopers. The Troop F Color Guard will present the colors and Sergeant Andrew Henry (H) will sing the national anthem. Pastor Dale D. Richey from Pisgah Baptist Church in Excelsior Springs, MO, will provide the invocation and benediction.
Four class awards will be presented. The recruits accumulate points toward graduation in the categories of physical fitness, firearms, and academics throughout their 25 weeks at the Academy. The person with the highest number of points in each category earns the respective award. Award categories include physical fitness, firearms, academics, and the Superintendent’s Award, which is presented to the person with the most points overall.
