Senator Chuck Purgason is adding government accountability to his list of committee seats that he holds in Jefferson City.
The senator announced yesterday that he has been appointed to the joint committee on government accountability. The committee analyzes fraud and misconduct in the state government, determines if laws need to be changed, and also tracks and tries to prevent inefficiency and disorganization in state government.
Senator purgason also serves as the chair of the Ways and Means Committee and Fiscal Oversight Committee as well as being a member of three other committees in the state capitol.
