A rezoning request by Glacier Park Investments, doing business as Lazy Gators, was approved by the Camden County Commissioners this morning (Thursday 21). The vote passed two-to-one with Bev Thomas voting no. Her reason was prefaced by her voice vote saying the rezoning request from Residential-One to Business-Two with a Conditional Use Permit, was “zoning after the fact.” Jefferson City Attorney Michael Berry, who represents the residents of Four Seasons, says he believes this is not the end of the issue yet…
Several argued against the request including Horseshoe Bend resident Joe Rader who claimed there was evidence in 2004 showing there was a home on the property in question at one time when the original zoning maps were made, but no paperwork indicating when the zoning changed.
