A Camdenton woman was airlifted with critical burns following a house fire on Friday on Willow Creek Road. Firefighters with the Mid County Fire Protection District were dispatched to the two story single family residence around 4:37 pm and upon arrival found the top floor fully engulfed in flames. It took crews 30 minutes to put out the fire which had also spread to the adjoining woods. Two other people in the home were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. The burn victim is said to be in critical condition at a Columbia hospital. The structure suffered extensive damage and is considered a total loss. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
