A memorial service planned for Tuesday evening will pay tribute to the people killed in the September 11th terror attacks, as well as local first responders who have died in the line of duty. This year’s service will include a special tribute to the most recent addition to the wall.
That new addition this year is Miller County Deputy Casey Shoemate. He died in April when he was involved in a crash while responding to a fire call. Dorhauer says it’s important to remember September 11th, but wants to make sure the ceremony is a fitting tribute to those lost every year.
Tuesday’s ceremony will be held at 6pm at the fire station on Bluff Drive.
