Recovery operations continued Monday for a person who may have become the latest victim of drowning or a boating-related incident here at Lake of the Ozarks. Troopers and the Dive Team from the Highway Patrol began a search for the unidentified subject last week after receiving a report of a personal watercraft adrift at the 8.5 mile mark of the main channel, and then discovering the craft still idling. The owner was contacted and reported that no one had permission to take, or borrow, the craft. The investigation since has revealed information that the individual who took the watercraft may still be in the water. Anyone with information is being urged to contact the Highway Patrol. In the meantime, boaters should use caution while in the area of the Twin Islands.
