With Labor Day weekend in the archives, fire districts around the Lake Area now have a chance to look back at what will be remembered as another busy summer. Osage Beach Chief Jeff Dorhauer says calls were right about average but, knock on wood, what was missing for the most part was any of the big structure or fatal fires that stick in memory.
Chief Dorhauer also says there will be no rest for the weary as the district’s busiest time of the year for PR-related activities is right around the corner. Among those activities will be a smoke detector giveaway in conjunction with the Community Foundation of the Lake, followed by fire prevention week.
