The traditional Thanksgiving meal will be a little cheaper to prepare in Missouri this year. That’s according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s annual Thanksgiving Marketbasket Survey. The survey found that the meal for 10 averaged $50.46 this year, or about $5.05 per person, down around 15-cents compared to one year ago, but about a nickel more per person than the nationwide average. The meal used in figuring out the averages includes a 16-pound turkey, stuffing, cranberries, peas, a relish tray, sweet potatoes, rolls, pumpkin pie with whipped cream and milk and coffee. This is the 31st year for the Farm Bureau tracking the Thanksgiving food prices.
