Law enforcement often gets a bad rap for never being around when you need them. It’s also one of the main reasons, according to Camden County Sheriff Tony Helms, for his department utilizing Community Resource Officers in outlying areas.
Currently, community resource officers in Camden County have been assigned to patrol in Climax Springs, Macks Creek and Stoutland. They can also perform in the capacity of school resource officers and, so far according to Sheriff Helms, the feedback has been pretty positive.
