The City of Linn Creek will, apparently, be on the receiving end of a Small Borrower Loan from the Department of Natural Resources to help pay for relocating a sewer main. At issue is the sewer main currently attached to the Business Park Bridge which is identified by MoDOT as being structurally weak and in need of being relocated itself. The bridge relocation project is scheduled for July with the city responsible for footing the bill for the sewer relocation because of it being located inside MoDOT’s right of way. The Small Borrower Loan, when available, will be for $70-thousand and allow officials in Linn Creek to replenish cash having to be pulled from coffers now to be used for the sewer main project. The loan is expected to be approved during next week’s clean water commission meeting in Jefferson City.
