Accused kidnapper John Williams is scheduled to appear in court in Pulaski County today. The 48-year-old Camdenton man’s case has been moved to Waynesville, where a hearing is scheduled to set a trial date. Williams was arrested by the Camden County SWAT team last July 25th, accused of holding a gun to his wife’s head and threatening to kill her. The change of venue was granted last month by Judge Colin Long…the sixth judge to preside over the case. The first five judges all recused themselves. Williams is charged with five felonies: kidnapping, felonious restraint, armed criminal action, domestic assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
