Accused Murderer Appears in Court

The first-degree murder case against a Greenview woman will proceed to a pre-trial conference following her appearance in a Laclede County courtroom on Monday. The case against Christine Zahn is being held in Laclede on a change of venue from Camden County. Christine Zahn, who’s accused of shooting of her on-again-off-again boyfriend Derek Harrelson back in November of 2018, is also charged with armed criminal action. Zahn was originally charged at the time with second-degree. However, an amended complaint filed in September by the attorney general’s office changed the charge to first-degree murder. Following the hearing on Monday, a pre-trial conference is scheduled to take place on May 4th with a jury trial, for now, scheduled to begin in
late October.
