Additional $2 Discount Could Be Coming To Lifeline Phone Users

If you get a discount on phone service through the Lifeline Program in the Lake Area, it might be getting bigger.

The Missouri Public Service Commission says an increase of $2.00 dollars per month is being approved for voice-only service.

But the discount will only happen if the FCC follows through with its plan to reduce support by $2.00 dollars per month starting December 1^st.

The current discount is $16.75 per month.
