Lake area travelers flying out of Springfield/Branson Airport will notice additional safety measures

Officials say they have hand sanitizer placed throughout the airport and have created areas for social distancing.

Some planes are requiring patrons to use a mask while on a flight to and from the airport.

The airport says before COVID closures started; they were averaging around 2,000 outbound passengers.

In April that number was closer to 100 passengers, but as of last week it’s climbed to 500.
