Alabama’s Gov. Robert Bentley says he called Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon this morning to offer his condolences and help after that massive tornado ripped apart Joplin yesterday. Bentley says he knows what Nixon is “going through.” Alabama’s still digging out from a tornado outbreak April 27 that killed 238. Bentley says he plans to stay in touch with Nixon as Missouri recovers. He says Alabama officials have learned many lessons that might help speed Missouri’s recovery.
